Attended Wheaton College, Northern Illinois University and Northwestern University, majoring in Biological Sciences and Business Administration.
Awarded "Certificate in Real Estate" from Central YMCA Community College Real Estate Institute. Courses included Real Estate Appraisal Courses I, II, III & IV, Property Management, Sales and Brokerage, Finance, Real Estate Law, Property Insurance, etc.
Successfully completed American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers Case Study Course #201.
Successfully completed Appraisal Institute course "Standards of Professional Practice", Parts A, B & C.
Successfully completed Institute of Real Estate Management (CPM) series of courses 101, 102 and course 501.
Satisfactorily completed Appraisal Institute seminar "Fair Lending and the Appraiser"

EXPERIENCE:

Since 1963, has been actively engaged in the brokerage and appraisal of real estate. Assignments have included appraisals of residential, apartment, commercial and industrial properties throughout the Chicago Metropolitan Area. These assignments have been for financial institutions, insurance companies, various corporations, attorneys and employee relocation companies.
From 1963 to 1971 was the Staff Appraiser and the Senior Property Manager at the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago.
From 1971 to 1985 was employed by St. Charles Savings and Loan Association, working for several years as the Chief Appraiser and in recent years as Vice President in charge of the mortgage department.
From 1985 to 2005, President of ValuMasters, Inc.,St. Charles, IL, a real estate appraisal company. He is currently the President of Schulenburg Realty, Inc and is also an appraisal consultant for ValuMasters, Inc.

AFFILIATIONS:

Senior Residential Appraiser, Appraisal Institute, from June, 1969 to December, 2007, and held the professional designation, "SRA". He had served on the Regional Ethics and Counseling Panel of the Institute. Although he has completed the continuing education program of the Appraisal Institute, he elected not to renew his membership in the Appraisal Institute.
Accredited Senior Appraiser, American Society of Appraisers, from 1963 through September 30, 2005 and held the professional designation "ASA", Certificate #2715, was Chicago Chapter President in 1974-75 and Illinois State Director in 1975-76. His designation with ASA had been recertified thru July 1, 2006. He elected not to renew his membership in the American Society of Appraisers.
Former member, Illinois Association of Certified Real Estate Appraisers, and was designated a "Certified Real Estate Appraiser", Certificate #129. He has held several offices in this organization.
Founding Member, Real Estate Appraisal Section of the National Association of RealtorsŪ, and designated an "RAA", Residential Accredited Appraiser, Certificate #224.
Member, The Foundation of Real Estate Appraisers.
Member, Illinois Coalition of Appraisal Professionals
Served as Member and Director of The St. Charles Area Chamber of Commerce from 1976-1982 - President, 1981, and Chairman of the Board, 1982. Currently is a Chamber Ambassador and was 1996 President of the "Ambassador Club."
Member, The Gideon's International , and was President of the Kane North Camp from 1997 thru 1999. He is currently Vice President of the Tri-Cities Camp.

LICENSES:

Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Illinois since 1961. He is a REALTORŪ member of the REALTORŪ Association of the Fox Valley, and is also a member of the Multiple Listing Service of Northern Illinois .
He is also an Illinois State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser
